Analysis of By Faith in Jesus

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

A quiet and blessed assurance abides
In the heart of the one where the Lord resides

Though many the reasons he could be disturbed
By the grace of his God he is always well served

The troubles that dwell in the world where he lives
Are never his own as he learns to forgive

Each one as a sword or an arrow against him
Will not pierce his heart! The Lord stands to defend him

God graciously works in the hearts of the few
Who have learned to trust and rely on Him too!

When we have found courage and trusted in Jesus
The eye of our God and our King always sees us!
