Children Without a Mother

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

You think you have a license
Because you’ve been forgiven;
That you can do just as you please
And call it Christian living.

I’ve got bad news for you my friend,
The gospel doesn’t say that.
The good news says keep yourself pure,
Cause you don’t wear a white hat.

You’re not a good guy riding in,
To come and save the day.
And if you’re disobedient,
Then you’ll have hell to pay!

So, if you hate your brother
And you’re seeking just to use him.
Remember God is watching,
As you sexually abuse him!

When you’ve taken all his money
And you leave him for another.
Your children call you prostitute
And don’t see you as mother.
