But God Is One

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

B ecause the law was unable to help us, the seed came through a woman’s pelvis,
U nlike other children; not born of a man, by God’s Holy Spirit according to his plan,
T he Christ had to come to the world as a baby, born of a virgin He came here to save me!

G od by his grace gave his Son as an offering, not unaware of the price it was costing.
O nly Jesus is Christ, only Jesus is God, everything else is a sham and facade,
D on’t take lightly what you just heard, there’s no division in God; the thought is absurd!

I n the pain that you feel you should remember the One, who gave up His only begotten Son,
S ee God the Father knows your pain, so does his Son, it’s etched on His brain!

O nce His Spirit has given you life, you should not need a thing, not even a wife.
N o one should consider this gift without cost, because if he does, he will suffer loss.
E verything in this life now belongs to you, if you’ll accept it from Jesus, the One who is true!
