Analysis of American Soldier

Cody Hendrix 1983 (Texas)

The days are long and cold,
While the nights are even colder and seem to never end.
But yet if you look closely you will see,
that among all the terrain and debris you will find me.
I wait for the right moment, the right second at just the right time to strike.
The enemy struggles to defend themselves, but fail.
My grasp on their life is lethal and I will not back down.
I am trained to complete the task at hand.
When it is all said, done and the mission is complete,
I will come back home just to wait to go again.
The life I lead is the life that I am proud of.
I do this not only for my family, but families with loved ones like me can return home and be welcomed home with open arms, as well as our country safe.
I serve the people of the United States without complaint.
I will defend our constitution without making careless decisions.
When everything is said and done the Enemies of the United States Foreign and Domestic will know that I am an American Soldier.
