Analysis of On Your Birthday
Today is the second birthday that you've missed.
Oh, how I wish, that I could give you one last
kiss. If I could only see your dimpled smile and
wink one more time, then maybe I could find, a
way not to lose my mind. I must confide, without
you by my side, I simply can't decide, whether to
fight or run and hide. I feel as though the worlds against me, I can no longer live life simply, a
bright future I don't see, in all reality! It was
supposed to be, together we........ You were the
one whom kept my feet upon the ground. You
were a blessing to be found. I wish I could have stopped the voices in your head! I wish there
was something more I said, but instead, I'm
filled with all this hate that I didn't anticipate.
Who knew I'd be taken on all this extra weight,
I didn't deserve to take, or the pain from your
mistake. I just wish i could hear your voice
again, I can't even remember when, I heard it
last or will again. But I have to let you go, even
though I wish that wasn't so, but I have to think
of Aleyah and Shane and try not to cause them
no more pain. I'm going to try and keep their
life the same and we will always speak your
name.
