Analysis of Delicate Despot

Backstabbing malcontent
Yammering discontent
Audaciously he’ll cheat
Shows ludicrous conceit
Dastardly chicken-hawk
Deflects by double talk
Grievous in intention
Bullies behind henchmen

Claims to be tough
A compensating puff
Declares the unfairness
At him most enormous
Defensively uncivil
Ego awfully brittle
Hissy fits tyrannic
Erupting volcanic

He’s wholly outrageous
Embracing deeds heinous
Misogyny bilious
Bigotry egregious
His checklist of tactics
Witness dreadful antics
Insists he’s a genius
Scheming always fiendish

Behind un-scalable gates
Guarded he obfuscates
Below the People’s House
Chest bulged like Mighty Mouse
Hear all the fussy rants
Fact and truth he’ll supplant
So reckless and shallow
Beware this sly fellow

Malicious to the brim
Don't feel sorrow for him
Sees no value in you
Hear mendacity spew
Such dishonor he wears
Still claims entitled airs
Autocracy he’ll sling
Like some nightmarish king

About this poem

Written in wake of the 2020 Lafayette Square outrage. I am a lone poet out in the wilderness, giving a pissed-off middle finger to a very thin-skinned tyrant.
