Analysis of The serenity of clouds
How cruel was the person who created clouds
Flaunting their serenity to all around
Then hiding the key to them for eternity
Prohibiting escape from mundane reality
They lied to us when they said that above
We could sit on them and see the sun
But that fantasy would end in irreversible death
Beautiful views, rugged last breaths
But despite knowing their true intentions
Why do I look at them for adventures
And imagine i’m there weightless on a cloud
With every human but me uncrowned
I don’t care that sitting there could be my death
Or the sun could burn irreversibly instead
Because sitting on them would make me feel weightless
So much so, I picture them knifeless
And think of not their malicious intent
But fixated on them helping me transcend

About this poem
It is about the stories that we were all told about clouds; how they were places were angles lived and people could sit and watch the sun set. But this poem twists that notion, and shows the reality of these seemingly beautiful, perfect clouds.
