My Insatiable Thirst for Touch

My life has always revolved around affection
So I crave touch like its my protection
For some reason it makes me feel secure
And for a second my life just simply soars

So can’t imagine the emotion people feel
When they treat my tender hug as an ordeal
For I am just showing my language of love
As it can’t be perceived through a lifeless glove

But last week something made my heart sink
Meaning my craving touch was near extinct
Someone hugged me as I would to others
And it felt like an overbearing hateful mother
They chocked me for what felt like forever
Cracking my obsession, diminishing my pleasure

So I know now if I live like i’ve done
The sun too will be smothered by my touch

It’s hard to not being able to connect
But i’d rather suffer than leave them wrecked
So what if I never can feel alive?
It is better to wither than extinguish their light.
