Analysis of Groovy

Today I don't recognize this crazy world,
Everywhere I turn, there's tears, and fears and fights,
And I think about a time when life was simpler,
When peoples wrongs weren't shielded by their rights

Bringing back groovy,
From a world that sang of sunshine in their hair,
Bringing back groovy,
When the pretty people tried to stop the wars,
Placing flowers in guns,
Smiles for everyone,
Looking for peace

But, today the songs are filled with bitter feelings,
And our future hopes seem like a far-off dream
For the children of the flowers forgot nature,
And got swallowed up inside mankind's machine

Bringing back groovy,
From a time when hair was flowing in the breeze,
Bringing back groovy,
When they talked, and liked, and loved without machines,
Flares and flowers the game,
No-one looking for fame,
But, looking for peace

Oh, and they sang beneath the starry skies,
And they had hope burning in their youthful eyes,
Where did it go?,
Where did our future go?

Now, as I look around, I know I've found the answer,
It's a simple thing that's been here all the time,
For imperfect people cannot create perfection,
It takes a love that is great, and is divine,

Bringing back groovy,
Put your hatred down and let yourself be free,
Bringing back groovy,
Forget the differences, and sing this song with me,
We're not alone any more,
Someone far out is at the door,
And He's bringing peace

Just wanna tell everyone,
That when Jah's kingdom comes,
There will be peace
