Analysis of Imperfect Me

I have listened as you’ve poured your soul out to me..

I’ve stayed quiet and I’ve let you talk.
I’ve listened to every word, endlessly.

Though your secrets are forever more safe with me..

I’m simply waiting for you to ask about me..   

I’ve got scares no one can see & I keep them covered pretty perfectly.

Id never offer it up and speak freely..

These scares are like chains you see, draining the life form me..

I need some one to ask..
Anyone, do you see?

But mostly I wish it was you asking it of me..

I probably wouldn’t let you in..
That would take all of me..

I’m a master of self disguise.

I paint me perfect.. That way you couldn’t see the cracks in me..

It’s why you bury your soul in me.

I wonder if I could ever let you see,
This  imperfect me...
