My little Kittens

The first you were and I believed the heavens did rain, cause of small sight of your tiny frame.
You grew up fast, you was a little early.
But now youre a preteen acting like he's thirty
Your wise beyond your years, the laughs we have; have me in tears.

Oh time how it did fly past, we tried but you'd always ask. Can I have a sister or a brother,
I begun to doubt if I could ever have another.
Then ten years past and a chance we had, this small hope could again we be mum and dad.

Three months early you arrived, we both nearly didn't make it out alive.
I felt lost for the first few hours, your tiny body so delicate like a flower.
Daddies hand could of been your blanket, and now youre a two year old cheese bandit.

But in between your two years of growing again happened, but this time with us not knowing.
Tests was had and warnings of my health was given, a unbelievable decision...will I ever be forgiven?

But you had other ideas, so the next day at four months early you was born and begun all my fears.
I saw you was a boy, but dread filled my heart, I knew that your life was short from the start.

I held you in my hands and said I love you, then you faded away, the last breath I felt it leave your body. You became a star in the sky. Forever free to fly.
