Analysis of Strange Love

Put your palm on my chest
And tell me what this feeling is
A fevered dream
A loss of sanity
This love is clear
Yet somehow hazy
An unknown embrace
Hold me tighter
I'm sick of pretending
But that's all I am
A waste of a moment
A bitter taste
Leave me be
Lay my heart to rest
I am trapped in these sporadic emotions
In the mix of it all
I feel nothing
Yet somehow I feel every little thing
A paranoid ideation
A strange misconception
Put your palm on my chest
Can you feel the wound that lies there
You are a faded masterpiece
Yet you're the sun that burns my skin
A pure type of love
Yet it's not enough
Pull me closer
Whisper sweet nothings
Such a breath of fresh air
But you are soon to be the death of me
Leave me be
For this love means too much
I can no longer take it....
