Analysis of Compassionate God
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
Praise as long as I live;
Sing praise to reach the goal,
All that your heart can give.
Trust not any princes,
Nor in the sons of man;
Someone that convinces,
No salvation to plan.
So when his breath departs,
He returns to the earth;
His plan to perish hearts,
With thoughts having no worth.
Bless whose help is the Lord,
The Lord his God whose hope;
Will be in one accord,
Always there to help cope.
He had made Heaven and earth,
The sea and all within;
Multiply to give birth,
As now that all has been.
Who keeps faith forever,
And executes justice;
Love that will not sever,
Always being righteous.
Who hungers, given food,
Setting prisoners free;
Changes the attitude,
As the blind as to see.
The Lord opens the eyes,
Lifting up those who bow;
Gives wisdom to the wise,
Guiding you to know how.
He watches who sojourn,
The fatherless and widow;
Preserving the newborn,
Allows blessings to flow.
The Lord reigns forever,
To all generations;
A love not to sever,
Through His declarations.
