Analysis of Vanity Eyes

The vanity eyes --

Always the chasers
of the elaborate lies.

They have cost me everything,
As I spent nothing of myself.

The vanity eyes ask to see;
but not to understand.
Or comprehend
They just demand-
 A weakness in my armor.

A frailty-
a part of me-
that screams for all to come and see.
Then I am left in disarray
as I am nothing but their prey.

The vain ones always
come back to see
The broken bits
and pieces of me.

The reflections of the shards of glass
by replaying all my memories past.
Seeking for meaning they cannot see
but seeking for truth they cannot keep.

The vanity eyes are like mirrors reflecting,
the pain and sorrow of life's directing.

To look at all my scars,
extract my flaws and frowns,
until the only reflecting image
is like the circus clowns.

But their quest for truth is all of me
and this is something they'll never see.

My pain,
my truth,
and my prestige.
they demand I give
so they receive.

But you will never be satisfied
As you are viewed through vanity eyes.

The vanity eyes that never learn,
The vanity eyes that ever yearn.

The truth of you.

The truth of me.

Is everything they'll never be.

I suppose I am their habit,
their daily fix,
their get more clicks,
The eye-wear that is offered.

A one-way ticket to the vanity lanes
A first-class seat on the vanity planes.

The only thing they ask of thee
 is for the eyes to see.

And care for not what it is
that they have to bear witness.
The only thing they care to see
is a reflection of their fantasy.

The vanity eyes seek to see,
The vanity eyes demand their show.

My vanity eyes are always with me;
But I need not hide their view.

They think that they can use
While they continue to pursue

How their visions come in three
Is something they never see
yet believe their two eyes: prophecy.

The mysteries
within this flame
the truth that is
 always the same.

The shattered pieces of my soul
have had the time to become whole.

And under such precedence
 I will reveal the truth I knew.
And in this day that I now see
I shall see the truth in view.

The vanity eyes --
Always leading me away from me.
They never once saw me for who I was.
They only saw the false mask I wore,
the lie that I told and believed so well.

They never saw the truth
that lies deep inside of me;
they only saw a void
They only saw the vanity.

The vanity eyes are the worst of them all.
Only showing lies
the big and the small,
of a world that isn't kind,
of a world that's only blind,
to the truth that they lie to themselves.

The vanity eyes are my enemies:
      The death of my soul.
They lead me down again and again:
            Never having an ending goal.

Down into the depths
of the hell that lies inside
slicing up what's left of me
into a great divide.

The vanity eyes that seek,
everything without.
Never realizing their mistakes,
Ever taking the wrong route.

The poor vanity eyes
ever searching,
for lies of the simplistic,
never realizing they are missing,
The greatest;
    The Majestic.
