Analysis of The Tavern at Christmas Time - The Christmas Tavern Sessions

So this is Christmas, and what have you done,
Last night John was out and we all thought this isn't much fun,
These songs are being overplayed,
Emil done me an egg bun, like look at what I've made,
Cheers mate that'll go down a treat,
I gratefully say as I sit on the seat.

All I want for Christmas is... Less Christmas songs,
And ok not to get greedy but maybe Mariah Careys thong,
Paulie was never a fan of repetition,
Paulie was never a fan of repetition,
Paulie was never... Ok we get the point,
Streetwise Mick rolls up, with his achy ageing joints.

'Give me a Rocking Rudolph,'
'We can't sorry it's went off,'
Bah Humbug! I'm burning up with these lights like a moth,
Ive got bars to hum, this Christmas music is getting me bugged,
Saying to the barmaid don't take it the wrong way, but will you bring over them jugs.

Paul's simply having a wonderful Christmas time,
Trying to avoid lockdown, partying this hard should be a crime,
I tell Tristan I like the Pixies and there's a lot of elves in here,
Hopping from one place to another, looking for the best beer,
I'm Naughty by Nature and you can feel me flow,
On an imperial march with Jay and Yan Solo.
