Analysis of August 15th

I met you on the 15th of August

told my friend I didn’t like you

but I wasn’t being honest

because I already made someone else a promise,

a week went by, you’re still on my mind

if she knows how I’m feeling she won’t say anything

and maybe if I meet you when we’re older,

I’ll be mature enough to love you
