Analysis of Learning curve

How to remove the pain hiding behind my mask and not be afraid
To love someone again and not question why they haven't stayed
Seeing myself in the mirror if all these were illusions that played me
Like the sayings go "Objects are closer than what it seems in reality"

Maybe I missed the signs that our fate was eventually headed for a cliff
For now, I can't shake the feeling off of feeling like a piece of ****
Everything said true before now voided crumbling down like an icy tower
Time seems frozen while darkness creeps in past the midnight hour

Driving off to who knows where to a place of no vacancy
To find that person I once was before you came down to me
Taking a walk outside and inhale the atmosphere surrounding me
In time the pain may subside and the thorns removed from the poison ivy

Losing my mind and trying to understand the mistakes that were made
To avoid making them again and be that sucker that got played
Living my life a day at a time to rebuild the foundation that has fallen
Taken this as an opportunity given to me of the many life lessons
