Analysis of 50/50 by Zionana Aiken
I'm 50/50
I'm 50/50
Are you 50/50
Who's 50/50
I'm a black person, I'm a black girl the 50/50 that makes up the hate in this world .
Your hair is too nappy.
Your face is too ashy.
Your hands are to tough.
Why are black girls so rough?
Because being black is taking one step back and being a girl is one step added .
So don't call me exotic.
It's just too much beauty for you!
Don't worry about what I do, how I do, or why I don't look like you.
I'm simply the sunrise on the ocean .
Miss/Mrs. 50/50 were,
Je-ne-sais-quoi!
