Analysis of Just Bein' Me

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

I know I'm a little nutty
and wild beyond compare
I live my life on my own terms
only my opinion matters here.
I never try to fit in
I never need to try & impress
I don't care whether or not you like me
Your opinion of me is completely worthless.
I'm happy with who I am
comfortable with just being me
intelligent with a mind of my own
you can either accept me or leave me be.
Because I will not change who I am
to fit anyone's mentality
no one need insist I do
for they are wasting their energy.
Either accept me as me
one hundred percent of the time
or go & search for someone else
someone with a weaker mind.
