Analysis of A Dream Half Remembered

I once lay in the arms of a goddess
We did not make love, it was something different
To inhale her scent, kiss her neck, feel her touch, moan in ecstasy
To whisper I love you
Fear knotting my chest in so many ways
Scared, grateful to share something different
I once caressed hips as smooth as polished ivory
As she grabbed my hand squeezing, as if to continue and stop at the same time
Yet always I enjoyed the way we shared something different

I once looked into the eyes of a tiger
Purity seeking to escape
And though it went unknown, what we shared
Was water for my soul
If she knew at one time
Holding her was the closest I have been to home
She would know, no roof or truth
Twisted from Satan’s roots would
Stop me from loving she who walked with me in the sand
Memories fading as sand when the tide kisses the shore
Her moment was… a moment we never shared from what she tells me
Making me feel so……Her lips softened a heart cut from mountains bowels
Ravaged by pain and betrayal
Yet in the wind she is only
Myself remembering what we shared so intimately
I was a fool, because when we kissed I loved every moment
And she desired something else more than me

Yet I have seen the rarest of flowers slowly bloom
A personal gift to myself because at this moment I am the purest form of me
And it will be gone
Ashes in the wind that carry voices to windows where evil
Lurks and good shines even in the darkness
I once laid in the arms of a goddess
We did not make love, what we shared was something different
She is the reason for my evolution.
The original reason I a man once broken healed
Stared death in the face
As he chose those who thought of him least
Yet death never killed love only the body…………………..
