As I watched corruption erode the souls of those I once considered pure
Tears of ice fell down the cheeks of one who could not see his face in the mirror

I once lay in the arms of a goddess
We did not make love, it was something different
To inhale her scent, kiss her neck, feel her touch, moan in ecstasy
To whisper I love you
Fear knotting my chest in so many ways
