Analysis of Grandpa
Paul Weaver 1964 (Virginia)
Grandpa was my best buddy of all.
I used to love listening to him play music.
The sounds that he made from his fiddle.
The sound of his guitar or mandolin.
I was nine years old when grandpa died.
I'll grab my guitar and play it now.
And it feels like he there sitting with me.
It's been many years since he left.
And i miss hearing him play still today.
Old people are fun i like them.
They all have great stories to tell.
When i get old i hope young people visit me.
By then i'll have some good stories.
Grandpa i miss you it's been a long time.
When we meet again i want the whole family.
To sit down and pick some music.
With you, grandma, all the aunts and uncles.
I just know we'll sound great.
It will be great to see everybody again.
I'll see you when i get there bye for now.
