Turning Corners

Paul Weaver 1964 (Virginia)

When there calling for a storm i like to go,
Outside look at the sky to watch the clouds.
Looking at the clouds to see the many shapes.
It eases the mind then i begin to relax.
When spring rain falls it feels soothing.
As when it snows feeling cold in the face.
Look at clouds hard to see angels in shrouds.
Then you wonder how far to the pearly gates.
Death comes to mind, did i live it to the max.
Maybe maybe not,just keep praying.
We run laps in life's many races.
Life is sometimes like a large crowd.
Then sometimes it's like a stem of grapes.
Life can be like a tree hit with an ax.
Feels good to hear the birds singing.
Leaving this earth i hope for a quiet place.
