Analysis of CHRISTMAS CAROL BLUES

It's the saddest time of year for me
It's Christmas and I'm on my own,
Now Carol's gone and I'm so blue
It's Christmas and I'm all alone....

All the presents cannot bring me cheer
Without Carol standing by my side,
With her presence nowhere near
I'm dying slowly deep inside.
While Carol parties on turkey and ham
I dine on beer and a cold meat pie,
And Christmas cheer is all a sham
'Cause crying time for me is nigh....

When Christmas time has come and gone
It's time for New Year resolutions,
But the heartaches linger ever on
It seems, for me, there's no solution.
Now Carol is living with somebody else
And everyone parties except me it seems,
For my broken heart can know no help
And celebrations are beyond my means.

I'm sitting here feeling so forlorn
And all my hopes are dead and gone,
Santa tells me nothing
In the world ever turns out right,
Now Carol's gone and I'm all alone
On this awful Christmas night.
Now Carol's gone I'm on my own
On this wretched Christmas night.

THE END
