Analysis of Could Dreams Be Fair?

Khachab Dorji 1978 (Samdrup Jongkhar)

Dreams constantly put me into torment;
With its patterned wrathful repetition,
Like the repertoire of tragic drama,
Condemning the mere sight of pleasance
But with harsh struggles and hardships
Tearing me away into bits and pieces,
Bullets pierce, drowning me in bloody pools,
The scene gets filled with fetid gunpowder.

At times, dreams could be fair I feel, not aways
Yoking all retributions of the mankind on me,
Bathed in sweats, I lay painfully panicking.
I try rising for life, embracing hope in grip.
A witch stands with a deceiving chuckle
Casting brutal spell that paralyzes me
I stagger for survival, with a storming heart
As she quivers her nervy hands for a grab.

I ascertain myself for for these very dreams,
Awakening up to ward off the catastrophe.
I gain a euphoric state, drenched in sweats.
Respiting such heralding dreams of eventful fate,
I yearn for the pleasant ones that I long had.
If all nights be the repository of dreadful dreams,
I shall evade myself from even to doze off
To avert the mortification by heinous nightmares.

I shall pass the night with the ticking clock
That sings for me an unwindable melody of time.
When the world goes into slumbering snores,
I shall disregard to flinch my weighted eyes
Lest I die among these prejudiced dreams.
I wait for the relational fate to translate
The sequel of reprimanding hallucinations,
Into dungeon or death, I offer my endurance.

About this poem

Dreams are what they are related to daily events of life. Sometimes, they can be influenced by the external force of other's spell on the dreamer. They sometimes come in real life too.
