Analysis of Self Discovery
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Truth and love unexpectedly to find,
Often takes place...
When one happens to journey,
Beyond the confines...
Of one's own comfort zone.
With nothing more on their mind,
But to adventure and explore.
Leaving behind an open to close door.
Then something occurs not known before.
So much there is about life not taught.
To hear from pulpits sermonized to preach.
Or podiums to teach.
About truth and love.
Many seek to believe both to be.
And reality for what it is.
Only to discover a wealth of discrepancies.
On a personal basis.
Loaded with hypocrisies.
Then something occurs not known before.
A door to open,
Left to leave behind and explore more.
Has benefits to value.
For the one who feels and keeps,
Their beliefs to know...
What had not been sought.
But discovered to never leave.
Truth and love found to find,
Is a personal journey.
Many can try and attempt to persuade,
Never changes.
And remains the same to be as is.
But reality for one to self discover,
Is not generic.
Nor is a taste to crave it,
Satisfies to please all.
To expect the doing to be accepted.
'I am telling you,
Whatever it is you may be seeking...
One taste of this,
Will satisfy and please your appetite.'
'I have heard that before to do it your way.
However...
When I left to discover,
A fresh and different place...
I did not expect.
My choice is now for that.
And nothing else,
Can come close as a substitution.'
'OH?
And what is that?
If I may ask.'
'Sure.
I call it 'personalized' digested truth.
And as incredible as it is,
I love it like nothing else I have had.'
'Hmmm.
I see.
And just how many calories of it,
Do you daily digest?'
'I have no idea.
But I can say this...
The weight kept off my mind,
Has been tremendous.
And believe it or not,
I am relieved to be issue free!
