Late Discovery

Too late has been the discovery,
Of those who sold...
Their lies well to tell told.
For anyone to empathize,
The ones who had been victimized.
To now discover and realize too late,
They too had been used to abuse...
With a doing to accuse,
Not only themselves.
But also others who refuse,
Excuses made.
Done to believe apologies to make them,
Will return to restore...
A loyalty once had shown to express,
Stays unchanged to remain as it had been.
To hear those victimized accept,
A forgetting to let go...
Memories to experience,
At their expense.
Lies heard to hear from those to tell.
With a knowing too well,
Who said what meant to intend it.
Although done to do to not expect,
Tables to turn.

Finding them serving up the B.S.
And enjoying to watch,
Those wanting more...
To take home for themselves.
Done to spread and share with others.
Others unsuspecting,
A feeding on created tales.
With a poisoning their tongues.
Leaving few if any left to believe,
Anything they say to repeat heard to hear...
Is credible enough.
To pay attention to whatever apology given.
Coming too late to mend,
What has been permanently broken.

Facts are facts.
Truth is truth.
As honesty is free to give.
From the beginning to start.

And difficult it is,
To have that which has been lost.
Back.
When not to have been there.
As if not to have gone at all.
