Analysis of Pieces of my Heart

My heart is scattered,
Every inch of it in melancholic cry;
In a split of second my dreams shattered,
Even if I love again or try;

I see my reflection in the mirror,
A nostalgia of sadness;
Tears from my eyes spurred,
My face left lonely and clueless;

Love gave joy as God's creation,
Then why am I drenched in wine?
Love deserves life's retribution,
Be brought again alive;

If there's a bit of hope that springs,
I'd live more than a hundred forty;
I could have let more or everything,
Love would breathe eternally.
