Body of Perfection

Sherry Caayupan 1980 (Davao city)

You are a chiseled masterpiece in a phantom time,
Your lines bear proof of a forbidden love;
Once sprung from the deepest thine,
Of invincible might and the purest heart;

Your face launched a billion gallants,
Into your heart and heart so very sublime;
You would have colored the day black,
The night would shy away and turn into white;

Your hands show traces of clandestine grievances,
Tiresome of the many life's strifes and toils;
They needed rest from all love's nuisances,
Never did play much with the love of a boy;

A body, oh, what a body of magnificence,
No scar or wound made clot on such perfection;
Not even men are in peril of preference,
For there's so much to see in such a fine confection;

Lovely feet, they are beautiful to talk with,
Graceful steps do nothing but dance;
They even sing  in the morning spree,
The clock only listens as it spun;

Your body is a whole melting pot,
Of divinity played by the love of God;
What the heart sees is silent in the eyes,
Poured forth from the heavens above.
