Analysis of A Dew Drop on a Rose in Bloom
Away from the teeming millions,
Away from the surge of life unharmed:
On the moist lips of a fragrant rose:
He balanced himself and lived on.
A madman lover, blind to reason,
Hopeless infatuation in storm and calm,
Thinking only of her, his love, so sweet.
Her glow of youth, her exquisite charm,
Her petals a cradle of comfort and form,
A golden bed for a lover forlorn.
But no happiness can, forever, endure,
The joys of love have the shortest span,
And so the rose was plucked away
Her fragrance to adorn a bridal costume’
She gave him a parting kiss of pain
And she dropped him like a falling star
From eyes filled with tears and gloom.
She left him the memory of the life he lived
On the moist lips of a fragrant rose.
