Analysis of Juiced Up Boosted

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

No matter the drug,
Legalized to market it.
The affect will remain to stay,
On one's consciousness to believe...
What occurs naturally,
Within one's body...
Is no longer necessary to await,
What the body does to heal itself.

And whatever one is told to sell,
To quicken the process to do this well.
Many accept to perceive,
No other choice they have but to adapt...
To that,
Which is induced artificially.
For time released or instant relief.
Done to do juiced up and boosted.
Regularly.
Like a robot to be switched on or off.
With a mind gone kept programmed.
Unneeded to think to control,
By what has been sold to guarantee...
The maintaining to keep a dependency!

'Crime today is at an all time high.'

'Which kind of crime?'

'Theft, corruption, deception, fraud.
You name it!'

'Why, I wonder?'

'Drugs.
No one can escape,
From them being marketed.
People today are taking 'this for that'.
'That for this'.
Under or over the counter.
In broad daylight.
On street corners,
Or in the darkest of alleys.
Coming to arrive from gated communities.
To feed their lusting addictions.
Hoping their disguises hide who they are,
In urban neighborhoods.
Where their daily arrangements,
Have been timely scheduled.

Once a dependency begins,
To fictionalized heightened delusions?
That's it!
People will travel distances for that 'hit'.

Doctors, lawyers, cake bakers...
Politicians, candlestick makers.
Indian chiefs and preachers,
College professors.
And pretentious goal setters.
Will do anything to get that fix.
ANYTHING that will do the trick.
Just to get away from truth to face as is!
