Analysis of People Who Don't Listen

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

To the people who won't listen,
What more can be said?
What more can be said.
What more can be said!
To those people who can't listen,
What more can be said,
Knowing they don't listen anyway.

Close your mouth.
And keep it shut.
To people who don't listen,
Even when to them you cuss.
Give up.
And keep your mouth shut.
Knowing people don't hear what is said.

To people who don't listen,
What more can be said?
That stays in their heads.
Filled with space and no air.
To people who don't listen,
With eyes fixed to stare.
Know that emptiness is all that's there,
To share.

Throw your hands up.
And begin from them to walk away.
Save yourself from going crazy.
Know when you've had enough.
Dont pay a price, not yours to pay.
To make appointments with a doctor.

To people who don't listen,
What more can be said?
What more can be said.
What more can be said!
To those people who can't listen,
To a word that's been said...
Get up.
And close your mouth to leave!
