Analysis of An Old Invitatation
Cathy Jones 1967 (tn)
One long ago day,
across the sea;
On a cross He hung,
for you and me.
His purpose was,
ours sins He'd clear;
He'd wash us clean,
and hold us dear,
He went to His Father,
in heaven above;
He pleaded with grace,
and boundless love.
Forgive them Father,
for all they do;
I'll die for their sins,
so they can know You.
His Father said,
I love you Son;
As You have asked,
so shall it be done,
So, Jesus died that day,
for all our sin;
He opened heaven's gates,
and invited us in.
