Analysis of Funatics

I had a poem here once,
I don't know where it went.
I can't remember how it goes,
far less what it meant.

I know it had a rant inside,
and somehow talked 'bout fun
But was it long or was it short?
I wish I had it done!

It's really quite depressing,
and quite a waste of time
I have to do it over,
and now I'm stuck in rhyme!

The only thing I can recall
with any clarity
Was the last line of it all,
which was just like me.

"Oh what fun." Was what it said,
of this I'm very sure
But sarcastic or happiness?
I don't know any more.

But seeing it's me I'll place my bets
on sarcasm indeed
But the inspiration that caught me then,
is what I do now need

I'm trying to think of fun things
Or funny things, or jokes
But my mind seems a blank slate,
And all my humor is just a hoax.

So I'll give up trying to think
And write instead this verse
You may think it's silly,
But I have written worse.

So if a lesson is to be learnt
When we toss aside all tricks
Is never to loose any poem
That you call funatics.

Oh what fun! (that just had to be done!)
