Analysis of Laxativity
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Whether your loyalty to commit stays,
To the left or right.
Declaring your liberal or conservative ways.
Whether your political affiliation,
Is democratic or republican.
On the fence to convince,
Others you have independent thoughts.
All of us remain human beings.
With appetites sought to please our needs.
It takes cleansing the body.
To rid the waste of collected toxins.
Not thoroughly eliminated.
Restoring one's mind to find it clearer.
If it was a priority to understand this,
Understood.
The body and mind is not a garbage can.
Dumping into it anything.
Without examining,
What we do to ourselves.
To inspect like we should.
Every now and then time should be taken,
To connect our aches and pains...
With what contains in the food we eat.
And why it is we crave poisons.
Addicting ourselves to create diseases.
Diseases to cure with prescribed medications.
Many these days do not realize,
Our minds are no different...
Than an engine inside a vehicle.
The outside may look great when polished.
Yet if the engine stays ignored,
A rusting begins.
Until that beauty becomes demolished.
Programmed we are,
To take our garbage to the curb.
Awaiting for our waste to be removed.
And yet...
Few will have that much insight,
To cleanse their minds and bodies that way.
Believing what they consume,
That may be tastefully delicious.
To stay without eliminating.
Could be the main reason,
People these days consider their crazy ways...
As normal!
