Analysis of Necessary Fade
Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Such a heavy night
stars are dripping tears
dreams swept by a gust of wind
stirring up any fears.
I feel ghosts around the corner
creeping ever so near
the laughter of the ages
is perfectly clear.
Cruelty has found me
or perhaps it never left
chains of abuse clanking freely
quickly claiming the rest.
Apples & trees so close
really not that far
cannot escape the legacy
cannot escape who you are.
You can try to be different
setting an uncharted course
but tradition will pull you back
damn the rest & storm the fort!
This legacy really must end
there just isn't any other way
nothing worth holding on to
fade out & fade away.
