Analysis of Having Fun
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Never have I understood to understand why,
Many will go to great lengths to offend.
And disrespect others to begin conflict.
A conflict that starts without solving to end it.
With those they neither know nor have met.
Although will take unnecessary steps,
To prove homemade fools...
Have an appetite for stupidity to crave.
This to do,
Makes absolutely no sense to pursue.
Unless the goal to expect,
Is just to make fools of themselves.
An achievement many have discovered to be,
Successful.
To later as time passes from them to hear,
Excuses and alibis made.
As if school aged children.
Attempting to erase a past to have played.
In ways to diminish their abusing displays.
Expecting forgiveness to them given.
And...
Incredible as disbelief to believe can be,
This forgiveness to believe easily received...
From the ones lied upon.
With their integrities deceived to victimize.
For the fun of it at their expense to pay.
Indebted to lies told on them,
The rest of their lives doing their best...
Cleaning up B.S. someone else has left.
Regardless of false and the viciousness,
Of delicious gossip from a past to spread.
However,
These wicked deeds done to others to do.
Do not fade away as some expect them to.
'Uh...
Were you expecting a special delivery?'
'Well, you have one.'
'I have no idea.
But it is a clown costume.
With a note on it that says,
AN OVERDUE BILL TO PAY ONE DAY,
WILL EVENTUALLY ARRIVE.
FINDING ITS WAY PERSONALLY ADDRESSED.
AT THE RIGHT DOORSTEP.
TO MAKE IT CLEAR AND UNDERSTOOD,
WHO THE IDIOT REALLY IS!'
'You say,
It is a clown costume?'
'Yes. I kid you not.
And...
It has your initials on it.
And the note continues to say,
It was custom made and a perfect fit.
By all means you have earned to wear it!'
'What?
What joke is this?'
'Apparently,
Someone who knows your past,
Better than I do.
Baby?
I didn't know you were also a clown?
A fool?
This i can believe!
