Analysis of Courage In A Journey

Courage in a journey, cold and bold
adventures of mystery, Lewis and Clark told
mountain passes defeated
Indians, guidance treated
shoreline quest, then we rest
awe inspiring scenery views
trials and tribulations and directional clues
native Americans, the friends we made
the pain and suffering of the journey, we paid
crossing in seasons through six states
the northern California coastline awaits
the agony of doubt, map-making about
amazingly tested, the cross-country requested
the high country wilderness environment
the times we wondered, the energy we spent
many years ago, now we know
assisted by Indians, approaching friends
the river will take you there, your courage depends
survival skills and cold weather chills
success at last, surpassing the last of the hills
