Analysis of FOR LOVERS STATE
Tammy Cioppa 1977 (Rustburg Va)
As I hear the locusts as I climb the dogwoods...it's home to me,
Granny making fried apple pies from apples from our yard,
Driving down the road in my dad's old Ford Custom TRUCK going 100 or so,
Watching the cow pastures fly by,
The good Lord put me on this countryside of greatness,
Long Mountain Grocery is where I got bottles of Cola as a kid,
For Lovers State is where I am from and always makes me proud to be a Virginian
