The Bluebird

Small feet, weightless perch
Wearing marshmallow denim,
An untouched petal.

The feathered berry
Sits, sweetly saturating,
Ripening with warmth.

Lidded seed-sized eyes,
Sleepy, dreaming macaron,
Lost in citrus...
