Veins

  once full of life

  bleed into red

  into death.

Curled by cold

  their bodies

  fall through fall air.

Loss

  upon loss

  ushered into doom

The rhyme scheme didn't feel elementary, but added to the depth of the poem. Beautiful description of the emotions and feelings the writer is and has experienced. I loved the raw emotions at the beginning beginning to turn to acceptance of the grief, yet not forgetting the memory of the love that existed.
