I'm active duty military member in the US Air Force for over 17 years. After multiple combat deployments I've rediscovered poetry as an incredible way to process and cope with events.

Step Up

Walking by one dark lone night
A wanders feet were swift and light.
His haste unknown his trail unlit
He stumbled into a deep dark pit.
HELP! He gasped as he fell so quick
Grasping for the walls that were so slick.
