I love the way
birds sing differently
now
that I have been
to the
ocean.

My love
for the calling waves
and weighted rhythm
of the unending sea
is now
whispered
in the breath
of my love
when I adore
chirping in the trees.

I love the flow. This was a hard choice because of the other poems I pinned, but I looked at it this way - if all the ones I don’t cote get deleted forever, which one do I save? This one. No real commentary on poetic form or anything, just voting on the one that viscerally resonates the most with me.
