Empty spoons
on plates askance
and a centerpiece
bleeding heart.

A draught
that crept on to my doorstep.
My waterwell
mimicking my heart
that sank below...


A dried maize cob
with a thousand eyes
and as many questions...

pickled memories,
and
well,
have a shelf life.

Life will extend a loose
Thread..
There will be
several ways
to cling to it.

Let's find one
That's selfless
And suits all.

Because once we do
Ways will open
...

the vine sapling

day i saw
a vine sapling
sprouting
in my garden
of who i was the warden...
it grew and curled
and ever so slowly climbed
not as much i wanted in my mind...
one day i saw
it going west
frankly, i wanted east...
for that's where begins the feast....
