I was born in Manhattan and grew up in the Bronx. My father was a mechanic, a good one despite him being an abusive, mean alcoholic most of my life until he gave his life to God shortly before he died. As a result of growing up in an war zone created by my father's drinking I became a addiction counselor and my heart went out to children who were being abused by alcoholic or drug addicted parent(s), which helped me deal with my own pain of being a child of an alcoholic. I gave my life to Christ at a young age and the pain began to slowly leave and my heart began to heal and when my dad died.
