I am nearly 80 years old but young at heart. I have been retired for many years but stay busy with projects most of the time. I began dabbling with poetry about 48 years ago, as a hobby. I have done very little in recent years but decided to see what others thought of my efforts. My first entry in July, "The Angler", won 1st place. This really surprised me but also encouraged me to re-visit some of my old works.
