I’m Alicia, I’ve battled illness all my life, I often feel like I was doomed to be unlucky from the day I was born. I write poems as a way to create something beautiful and understandable out of the pain I’ve experienced in my life. Although my writing can be sorrowful, the sadness I express in them is such a small part of my life, I believe poetry is a way of healing my soul and putting my pain to rest.
