My Prayer From Hell

Malik Blake 2001 (St.Ann's Bay)

My Prayer From Hell

My God, this is life I live
Everything I say, you know how much stress it brings
Times are hard, your world is a cruel place
People fighting, just so they can get a space
My life is fighting for what is mine, and I don't care if my friends are left behind

My God! What life did you gave to me?
There is no love, no happiness, just insanity
No light, no peace, just wanting vanity
More money, more fame, be a big celebrity
People are killing, are stealing, that is the reality

My God! What did you make me see?
I always wondered if you are preparing me
for a life in heaven, where I can clear my head
God, please heal me, forgive me of the sins I did
God, bless me, make me forget the life I had.

My God! What else can I say?
You have always been there for me
Not everyone knows how to pray, you know how much they need to say
I know in the end, you will come through, you're the only one who cares.
Thank you for listening to me, you are the one who hears.
