Red-winged Blackbird

Red-winged Blackbird
where might you be tonight?
I've been waiting here with patience
now, yes another night

The colors of this bird, the red
the black, the golden sleight
cause such a strong attraction
I may adjust my flight

and if I land beside this bird
for this and other nights
be my bird of paradise
the two as one alight
