Home coming

Carolyn Mathews 1967 (home)

What a day it will be                                                                                      As we all stand to see                                                                  Looking as each party passes by                                                    Some will be holding tears back to not cry                                At last our loved one has came to us                                           Now as we all wait to gather onto the bus                                You hear all kinds of planning going on                                     Our bunch wants to go get a ice cream cone                            Now we all is heading out                                                             Some of the kids begins to pout
They want to stay outside to play
To our finding it was in the muddy clay
Welcome home sweetheart
You have so much to discover in my heart
We gather around to talk                                                               Then we learn you cant walk                                                        Sitting there holding hands
Being thankful that we can
Finding out how bad you had it over sea
So very glad you are now home with me
Welcome back home for good sweetheart
